Yes, it includes AWS Cost Anomaly Detection to alert users of unexpected spikes.
Where can I find potential cost-saving opportunities?
The CUDOS, CID Dashboard provides insights into underutilized resources, RI/SP savings, and anomaly detection.
Does using this platform increase my AWS bill?
The platform relies on AWS services like AWS CUR, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon QuickSight. The cost impact is minimal, but there will be charges related to:
- S3 storage for storing CUR data.
- Athena queries used for analysis.
- QuickSight dashboards if BI visualization is used.
- Lambda or Step Functions for automated processing (if applicable).
The AWS cost estimation is around 40-50 USD/month.
Is there any cost associated with using Renovisor?
The platform itself is free of charge. However, accessing AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) and using AWS services (such as Athena, S3, and QuickSight) to power the dashboards may incur additional AWS cost charges.
Is my cost data secure?
Yes, data is stored securely in your AWS account with encryption at rest and in transit. Renovisor does not store any of your cost data.
Does the platform support AWS Organizations?
Yes, it can aggregate cost data across multiple linked accounts in an AWS Organization.
How often does the cost data update?
Cost data updates depend on AWS CUR refresh cycles, typically every 24 hours, but near-real-time tracking may be available for specific services.
What AWS regions does this platform support?
The platform supports all AWS regions where AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) are available.
How do I onboard my AWS accounts to this platform?
You can onboard your AWS accounts yourself by following the onboarding wizard in the Renovisor portal. This onboarding process takes 5-10 minutes.
You need to have an AWS IAM admin account to run Cloud Formation in your AWS account.
What is Renovisor, and how does it help with AWS cost management?
This platform is built on the AWS CUDOS framework and allows users to connect multiple AWS accounts to monitor cost usage, detect anomalies, and optimize spending.
